Born in Los Angeles by way of Indiana and more recently migrated to San Diego, Lightweight Contender is an attempt at a music column.

LC was conceived after two very good and patient people made a compelling case to have a guy start writing again after a sunrise concert in a cemetery. Drawing from a wealth of experience as the music editor of a long-defunct and wildly unsuccessful magazine in San Diego a few years back, really the only goal here is to spend some time pursuing the dream of being involved with music, if only on the periphery through this website and if only one or two very good and patient people read it.
